The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication held a workshop to improve academic service standards from September 8 to September 9, 2021. It was held in the Gurindam III meeting room on the 1st floor of Swiss-Bellin Hotel Pekanbaru. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Dr. Imron Rosidi, M.A, Deputy Dean for Planning and Finance General Administration, Dr. Toni Hartono, M.Si, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. H. Arwan, M.Ag, Head of General Affairs, Head of Subsections, Head of Study Programs, Secretary of Study Programs, Head of Laboratory and Staffs.
As chairman of the executive committee, Mustafa M.I.Kom in his report said that this activity was carried out as an effort to improve the service standard system to make it more optimal. “There is no achievement without good standards; there is no evaluation without standards. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out this activity to formulate the good SOPs in an effort to improve the quality of good services”. He said.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Dr. Imron Rosidi, S.Pd., M.A. In his speech, he said that this workshop is important to do, to rearrange service standards so that in the future service excellence can be applied. “We need to carry out this workshop, to rearrange standard operating procedures so that we can provide the best and excellent service to our students, lecturers and stakeholders. We have to make our service easier without reducing anything substantially, if we can make it easier, why makes it more complicated?”
In this workshop, there were also external speakers who were professional in their fields. The first speaker was Ikhsan Putra, SE. He is a consultant from PT. Mega Sejahtera Konsultindo (MESKO). The second speaker is Yerri Badrun, M.Si. He is a Lecturer and also the Head of the Education Development and Quality Control Institute, Muhammadiyah Riau University.
