Governor of Riau, Drs. H. Syamsuar, M.Si paid a visit to the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Wednesday (15/12). He was invited as the speaker in a talk show held by Suska TV. The talkshow with the theme of Riau welcoming 2022 was successfully carried out. In addition to the Governor of Riau as a speaker, the Rector of UIN Suska Riau, Prof. Dr. Hairunnas, M.Ag also participated as a guest speaker this time. In this talk show, there are two important topics discussed, namely education and the creative economy. The Governor of Riau in welcoming Riau 2022 focuses on improving infrastructure and building educational facilities in every district and city in Riau.
“We are trying to build educational facilities in Riau province from basic education to secondary education. We will also open high school/vocational schools as a solution so Riau children do not drop out of school again. We are also working with the education offices in the city districts to prepare study packages such as the packages of A B C equivalent to elementary, middle and high school education. This is an effort to deal with children who drop out of school.” strictly
In addition, it also provides educational assistance through scholarships, either directly provided by the government or through collaboration with Baznas. The Riau Provincial Government in an effort to develop the creative economy sector also builds facilities that support creative industries for young people, one of which is the Riau Creative Hub. This is later expected to be put to good use for the development of the creative economy and tourism industry sector, one of which is Riau’s culinary.
The Governor of Riau Drs. H. Syamsuar, M.Si also participated in declaring the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Suska Riau as a Pilot Project for the Development of an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption Free Area (WBK) and a Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) marked by pin pinning and signing of the integrity pact.
This event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Dr. Imron Rosidi, S.Pd., M.A, Deputy Dean Dr. Masduki, M.Ag, Dr. Toni Hartono, M.Si, Dr. H. Arwan, M.Ag and all leaders and staff within the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication.
